Masks 4 Vets!!

In our current crisis of COVID-19 many people are struggling to find the proper resources needed to stay safe and healthy including soap, hand sanitizer, and most importantly masks. Due to this crisis the spring Stand Down was canceled for safety reasons so we found another way to help out by making masks for the veterans at St. Michael's Veterans Center. Using some of the money I received from the Fox4 Pay It Forward award we set up our own workstation at my house with fabric, interfacing, elastic, the rest of our equipment, and got to work! A few weeks later we finished all 125 masks for the veterans and took them to St. Michael’s. On May 9th the vets were given their masks and a BBQ dinner!
